Harvey Ingram eyes growth after job cuts
Midlands law firm Harvey Ingram said it has axed four partner roles but is preparing to embark on an acquisition trail.
Harvey Ingram, which is set to turnover £19.5m by its year end, said it is preparing to grow by acquiring rival firms, launching new products and headhunting lawyers to bolster its teams.
The firm said that after conducting a review of costs and services, four partners were asked to leave and the firm is now "rationalising" its back office function.
Harvey Ingram operates five offices across the Midlands and Home Counties, employing almost 400 people.
Managing partner Simon Astill said: "This is a careful, deliberate strategy across a firm that is a major business entity in the Midlands and Home Counties. For instance, family law and specialist property work are growing, so we are bolstering our teams in those areas. Other areas require smaller teams, so we are reducing the numbers of people working there.
"With a record turnover and new clients, Harvey Ingram is set for another exciting year while we consider acquiring other firms. We are committed to bolstering specific teams and launching exciting new products."
Harvey Ingram operates offices in Leicester, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Bedford and Newport Pagnell.
