Portillo will star appear alongside keynote speakers Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, founder and director of WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) and Stewart Towe CBE, group managing director of Hadley Industries.

Last week Insider revealed the shortlisted companies for the 2011 awards.

The four companies in the running for the prestigious Manufacturing Company of the Year trophy are: AGA, Alumet, Pailton and Wade; whilst SI, DCS and Pailton make up the shortlist for the Export Award.

Denso, Synseal and Alumet make up the shortlist for the Green Manufacturer of the Year, and Wade, Alumet and AGA are in the running for the Manufacturing Innovation Award.

In the running for the Technology Transfer Award are Envisage, Morgan Motor Company and Malthouse Engineering.

Insider will also be handing out an award for Manufacturing Personality of the Year.

All the winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 1 November at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The Insider Made in the Midlands Awards are Midlands Business Insider magazine's celebration of manufacturers and manufacturing in the region.

The evening will also offer manufacturers the opportunity to meet together and as always with events such as this, to make new contacts and to gain valuable insight from talking to others in the same industry.

As this is an inaugural event, we expect demand for tables to be high. Should you wish to reserve a table, complete the reservation form which you can access by clicking here and return it to us as soon as possible.
