Mitchells & Butlers deal collapses
The plug has been pulled on a potential £941m offer for Birmingham pub group Mitchells & Butlers.
Piedmont, owned by Tottenham Hotspur owner Joe Lewis, said it will not be proceeding with an offer to buy the pubco.
It also confirmed it had presented a proposal to the M&B board on 12 September with a possible offer for the whole company discussed.
