Fledgling Macildowie division reports sales boost
The newly-established procurement and supply chain division of East Midlands recruitment company Macildowie has produced a first year turnover of more than £510,000.
The division, which employs five people and is headed up by Claire Fletcher, operates offices in Leicester and Nottingham.
It recruits staff members for clients including Boots, E.ON and Mercedes-Benz.
"In this difficult global market, commercially minded procurement and supply chain professionals are in huge demand," said Fletcher.
"The recession has made procurement a much more pivotal role in various industries, as a procurement professional who can buy indirect services effectively and make savings for a business is an even more valuable commodity at the moment."
James Taylor, director at Macildowie, added: "Claire and her team have worked tirelessly to establish our reputation in this market. We have achieved this success by immersing ourselves in the culture of our clients and understanding the niche skill sets that they require from candidates who are able to add value immediately to their businesses.
"We are confident that this division will grow further to become as successful and established as our finance and HR divisions."
