Chamberlin to seek out growth opportunities
Walsall-based Chamberlin is on the hunt for acquisitions after meeting mangement expectations in its latest trading statement, it revealed this morning (11 October 2011).
The castings and engineering company said that a strengthened order flow over the six months to 30 September had helped to meet forecasts, adding that it would now "consider complementary acquisitions".
Chamberlin said it planned to grow further in the second half of the year.
"Order flow across core foundry activities has reflected predicted schedules and demand has continued to strengthen through the period," said the company.
"New business development initiatives have helped to support the positive trading momentum. As a result the company continues to trade in line with current market expectations."
Chamberlin is set to release its half-year results at the end of November 2011.
