Six private sector directors have been recruited to the board, including Richard Phillips of Silverstone; John Corrigan of Brackmills Industrial Estate; Walter Greaves, a former director at Mercedes-Benz (UK); Steve Judge from Bonfire Creative Intelligence; Cheryl Smart of Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce and Tom Wells from brewery Wells and Young.
The board will be chaired by Dr Ann Limb.
Dr. Limb said: "These private sector appointments represent a wide range of experience, business size, sector and geographic distribution across the SEMLEP area and will complement a board already distinguished by the calibre and commitment of its public sector directors.
"All the directors and I will work with businesses, communities and citizens throughout the region to establish SEMLEP as one of the most industrious, inclusive, innovative local enterprise partnerships in the country."
