Nottingham-based Headland Multimedia has gained a London base with the purchase of web company Odin Solutions.

Covent Garden-based Odin Solutions was bought by the digital marketing agency for an undisclosed sum.

Headland said the acquisition would boost its web and design offering as well as providing it with a London office.

The company will operate out of Odin Solutions' former headquarters and has employed all five members of its team. Odin Solutions' founder and managing director Isabel Allen will continue to manage the operation under the Headland banner.

Ken Heptonstall, Headland’s managing director, said: "The Odin Solutions team has a different, complementary set of core skills to Headland’s, which fits perfectly with our business plan for growth.

"Acquiring Odin Solutions means that we can widen our business opportunities by offering additional programming languages such as Java; content management systems such as Enterprise and Percussion; and also training which Odin has specialised in for a number of years."

Odin Solutions brings clients including The Natural History Museum, Rentokil Initial and The University of London to the company.

Following the acquisition, Headland has a staff of 25 and offices in Leeds, Nottingham and London.
