Emmerson deflects to BDO
Phil Emmerson has been made a partner at the Birmingham office of accountancy firm BDO. He joins the firm after 18 years at KPMG.
Emmerson will be a partner in the business restructuring team.
He advises corporates on working capital management, improving operational performance, refinancing and restructuring.
Mark Anslow, partner and head of BDO in Birmingham, said: "Phil’s appointment bolsters our advisory offering and provides clients with an additional layer of expertise that comes into play further up the decline curve.
"We are delighted to have him on board. He has significant experience in his field, which will no doubt prove valuable to both new and existing clients."
Emmerson added: "The opportunity to join BDO as a partner in its business restructuring team is an exciting one. The firm has a good brand and a great reputation in the market place, and I look forward to working closely with partners Jo Wright and Kim Rayment, and the talented business restructuring team already in place."
