Director duo resign at Marston's

Two directors at Wolverhampton-based pubco Marston's have resigned from the company.

Derek Andrew and Stephen Oliver's resignations were effective from 1 October.

Marston's said the move was "part of the ongoing implementation of our operational strategy".

Andrew has stood down as managing director of Marston's Inns & Taverns after 31 years. He remain with the company as an external advisor on its site acquisition programme.

Oliver will become managing director of the newly combined trading division Marston's Beer & Pub Company.

Ralph Findlay, chief executive, said: "I thank Derek for the excellent contribution he has made as a director of the company over many years and look forward to his valuable input as an external adviser.

"I am also grateful to Stephen for his first-rate contribution as a director of the company and wish him well in his newly expanded and demanding role as managing director of Marston's Beer & Pub Company."
