Shakespeares reveals Leicester ambitions
Law firm Shakespeares said it is planning to open an office in Leicester after appointing partner Lisa Botterill.
Botterill joins the firm as a partner in the corporate services team from the Leicester office of Harvey Ingram.
Shakespeares has an office in Nottingham and said it now plans to open a new office in Leicester "in the near future".
Botterill has more than 11 years' experience in a range of non-transactional and transactional legal services.
At Shakespeares she will be advising clients on issues such as structuring finance arrangements, business reorganisations and restructures, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, buyouts, acquisitions and disposals.
Botterill said: "This is an exciting move and I am looking forward to working with the wider corporate services team in the East Midlands to extend the firm’s offering to the diverse and thriving business community in Leicester and beyond.
"Having worked with many businesses and organisations located in Leicester over the past decade, I know how much they value specialist professional services and the ability to access advice on their own doorstep."
Duncan James, head of corporate services at Shakespeares, added: "Lisa's arrival is an important strategic step in the development of the firm's corporate services team and reflects our ambition to continue to expand in the East Midlands. We are looking forward to announcing details of our new Leicester office in the near future."
