Customer numbers up at HomeServe
HomeServe, the Walsall-based home emergency business, said this morning (29 September) it expects to increase customer numbers by 5 per cent on its first-half 2010 results.
The company said it expected total policy numbers to increase by 8 per cent in a trading statement to the Stock Exchange.
It added that it was "on track" to achieve its 3 per cent full-year customer growth target in the UK for the six months to 30 September.
New policy sales in the UK are expected to be similar to the same period last year, about 700,000 policies, said the company.
In the US, the company expects to make larger gains, with new policy sales estimated to increase by more than 30 per cent in the six-month period.
HomeServe said: "As in previous years, profits and customer growth will be weighted towards the second half reflecting the seasonality of our marketing activity and associated renewals profile.
"Our outlook for the full year remains unchanged, and we continue to look forward to delivering another year of strong growth."
