Condor plans Dove Valley distribution hub
Derby-based Conder Developments has been awarded detailed planning permission for a 300,000 sq ft distribution centre at its Dove Valley Park site.
Condor, which is part of property developer CWC Group, said it was offering a fast-track build of 32 weeks from signing up an occupier.
The CWC Group is currently on site at Castle Donington building a 1 million sq ft distribution unit for Marks & Spencer.
It has also signed up The Co-operative Group for a 350,000 sq ft distribution unit at its Castlewood site at junction 28 of the M1.
Paul Shanley, Conder's managing director, said: "It is part of our group strategy to own well located sites and work with occupiers to meet their specific needs. Deals are still hard to conclude but there is always demand for a good quality building in the right location.
"We recognise that large retailers are planning for the future and our flexible approach has resulted in these major deals being concluded in a tough economic climate."
The proposed new development at Dove Valley Park will be marketed by joint agents Salloway and BNP Paribas.
Existing occupiers on Dove Valley Park include JCB, Kuehne - Nagel, Truma, Dairy Crest and Futaba.
