Trew takes charge of Notts County after board shuffle

Share | |

Notts County Football Club chairman Ray Trew has taken sole responsibility for the club following a boardroom restructure.

Directors Jason Brewer and Luke Jones have left their positions to focus on their involvement with Nottingham Rugby Club.

Notts County said the move was a "mutually agreed restructure".

When taking full responsibility for the football club, Trew relinquished his interest in Nottingham Rugby Club.

Trew said: "Both Jason and Luke have been instrumental in not only helping to secure our takeover of the club, but also in ensuring that the club has continued to go from strength to strength since that time.

"Everyone associated with Notts County owes both Luke and Jason a debt of gratitude for their efforts in taking this club forwards, but having discussed the situation at length, it was agreed that this move would be best for all parties."
