Leitch leaves Endless

Nick Leitch has left his role as director of buyout and turnaround fund Endless, Insider can reveal. Leitch, who led his Endless colleagues to the Turnaround Team of the Year Award at Insider’s Dealmakers Dinner last week, is currently on gardening leave from Endless, but says he will stay in the Midlands.

Leitch said: "Endless will remain committed to the Midlands, but it’ll be without me. It’s an amicable departure from the company.

"It’s been a great four and half years with the company, but I need to look at the next five, ten or 15 years and see what I want to do. I’m officially ‘between funds’.

Leitch has been with Endless’ Birmingham office since it was founded in 2007. He previously led Ernst & Young's Asset Based Lending (ABL) team.

Earlier this year, Leitch led Endless’s £27m acquisition of Niagara Lasalle (UK) from its US parent organisation Niagara Corporation.

Last week, Endless confirmed that Darren Forshaw will be taking partner responsibility for its Manchester and Birmingham offices with immediate effect.

In a statement, the company said: "We will be further bolstering our presence in these regions and will be making announcements regarding this during the next few weeks."

Endless recently raised its third fund Endless Fund III at £220m to target "turnaround and special situations opportunities across the UK". Endless said that more than £50m has been allocated to each of the Manchester and Birmingham offices for investment into those markets.

One of Leitch’s last official appointments as director of Endless was at a recent round table event at UBS, where he said he remained optimistic about the future of the deals market.

He said: "Most people seem to be taking the view that the glass is half full, and they’re trying to keep the wheels turning. Due diligence teams are very busy. There are some big corporates out there with a lot of cash."

Leitch said he is now on a six month hiatus before taking his next position.
