The Co-operative grows Derby team
Mark Turner has been appointed as senior business development manager at The Co-operative Bank's corporate banking centre in Derby.
Turner will be responsible for developing the bank’s lending and specialist deposit business in the local area.
His appointment follows the recent promotion of Martyn Shakespear to regional corporate manager. He takes responsibility for the bank’s business development teams across the Midlands and Yorkshire.
Prior to his appointment at The Co-operative, Turner worked for Lloyds Banking Group for 25 years and the Bank of Ireland for the last eight years.
He said: "I look forward to working with the dynamic and energetic team at The Co-operative’s Derby branch and building upon the strong platform created by the Bank's corporate team since our office was opened on Pride Park four years ago.
"A key part of our corporate strategy is to develop long term relationships with our customers and even in today’s uncertain economic climate, we're still very much open for business and lending to companies with impressive business strategies."
