C Bastock grows with funding
A Birmingham-based funeral director said it will expand its team after moving to larger premises with a £100,000 loan from Lloyds TSB Commercial.
Family business C Bastock, which provides funeral services across south Birmingham, has relocated from Small Heath to Yardley. The company also has an operation in Olten, near Solihull.
The company said the £100,000 loan was used to fund the relocation and refit of the new premises.
Davisd Bastock, director of the company, said he hoped the increase the company's current headcount of 11 in the near future, with a particular emphasis on recruiting administrative staff.
Bastock said: "Our business is now in the seventh generation of family ownership, and over the years, we have worked hard to uphold the same values of our ancestors, whilst also moving with the times to provide a modern and up-to-date service.
"Our new premises in Yardley will provide us with an ideal location from which to better service our client base which is predominantly located across the south Birmingham area."
