Share | |

Nottingham-based Briton Fabricators has won a place on a four-year £54m road works framework.

The Gantry Systems Framework will be available to the Highways Agency, and all local and regional agencies including Transport For Scotland.

Works will include fabrication, refurbishment, removal/erection, storage, transportation and installation of signs and signals for gantries.

It is split into three lots, but only two lots have been awarded. These are: fabrication, storage, transportation and erection of gantry systems; and refurbishment, storage, transportation and erection/removal of gantry systems.

The Highways Agency has appointed the business alongside three others to the framework, with work to be assigned by 'e-tendering' and possible reverse auctions.

Although the lots to which the business has been appointed is listed as £54m, the overall price of the three lots could rise to £70m.
