Sills & Betteridge is to merge with fellow East Midlands law firm Richard Tinn Solicitors.

Under the deal, Richard Tinn will become a partner at Sills & Betteridge, and he and his staff will relocate across Boston to the firm's offices in the town.

It is hoped the deal, which will complete on 1 October, will enable Sills & Betteridge to offer an improved commercial service and have greater presence in Boston.

Andrew Payne, Sills & Betteridge's senior partner, said: "Richard Tinn is a very experienced, well known and well respected solicitor in Boston. His arrival will significantly raise our profile in Boston.

"The addition of his client base to ours will provide us with an opportunity to expand significantly the Boston practice."

Tinn said: "Joining Sills & Betteridge will allow us to help our clients by taking advantage of the wider range of skills and resources in a large firm."

Sills & Betteridge has also announced a merger with Norman Green Solicitors in Skegness and plans to expand its offices in Spalding."
