Interoute swoops for Quantix
Nottingham cloud services provider Quantix has been bought by Interoute Communications.
Interoute said it "plans to build on the rich pool of specialist skills at Quantix's headquarters in Nottingham and turn it into the group's centre of excellence for application management and cloud services development."
Quantix said its OraCloud platform will enable Interoute, which owns and operates Europe's largest cloud services platform, to manage international customers' database operations as a cloud service.
Interoute is based in London and the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Simon Goodenough, Quantix managing director, said: "We have built a strong and loyal customer based in the UK, which we will continue to serve as usual.
"By joining forces with Interoute, we are now able to take our services across Europe.
"We believe there is a natural affinity between our offering and Interoute's and we are excited to be part of the journey towards becoming the leading provider of cloud-based services in Europe."
