Image Scan wins £1.46m x-ray contract
Image Scan Holdings has won a £1.46m contract to supply x-ray security screening systems, it said today (19 September 2011).
The Barrow-upon-Soar-headquartered company did not name the business which it won the order from but said the win has brought its total order intake value up to £4.3m.
Louise George, Image Scan CEO, said: "We are delighted to win another major contract this year as well as a steady flow of smaller orders.
"The level of regular order intake and the strengthening lead pipeline demonstrate the effectiveness of the investment in building our sales team in recent years."
Image Scan specialises in 3D and 2D x-ray imaging for the security and industrial inspection markets.
It said the £1.46m contract will be carried out in the financial year commencing 1 October 2011.
However, the company warned: "Due to highly competitive tendering processes, the overall projected margin for the business will be lower than historical levels."
