Losses narrow at RTC Group
Recruitment, training and conferencing company RTC Group has posted a loss of £129,000 for the six months to 30 June.
The Derby-based company said the loss was the result of a £370,000 debt write-off after payments of invoices from an agent had "deteriorated". RTC said that without the write-off, it would have posted a profit of £286,000.
The figure compares to the company's loss in the comparable 2010 period of £907,000.
Revenue over the six-month period increased from £8.5m in 2010 to £14.2m.
RTC said its recruitment division in particular had improved over the period, and was now focussing on its "rapidly expanding" business in India.
W.J.C Douie, chairman of the company, said: "Although I cannot be optimistic about the Global situation I am convinced that we are servicing the less vulnerable industrial and commercial areas both in the UK and overseas which can be expected to give us strengths which others may be lacking."
