TTG grows international sales

More than half of Derby-based Team Telecom Group's (TTG) sales are made internationally, the company has revealed.

The communications specialist said sales had increased 39 per cent over the last year, with trade in markets including the US, Australia, China and the Middle East now accounting for 51 per cent of the group’s business.

Profits were also up 13 per cent compared with its year-end in 2010, said the company.

TTG, which underwent a £32.8m management buyout 16 months ago, said it had made investing in new technologies and building its presence in key regions around the world a priority over the last few years.

It now operates offices in Beijing, Taiwan, San Diego and Miami, as well as its ComGroup business based in Melbourne, Australia.

Growth in the mining industry has led to the Australian market taking 60 per cent of the group’s international sales, said TTG.

Mike Norfield, chief executive of TTG, said: "In a tough economic climate we’ve focused on developing cutting edge technologies, which have the performance and flexibility to deliver reliable, effective performance in diverse markets around the world.

"Our solutions are now used by organisations ranging from the Beijing police to sheriff’s offices in the US and transport companies in Africa."
