Orega expands in Colmore Plaza
Serviced office provider Orega is set to take an additional 7,500 sq ft of office space in Birmingham's Colmore Plaza.
The company has signed a deal with the site's owner The Carlyle Group to extend its offering in Colmore Plaza to 17,500 sq ft and said it has already attracted an occupier.
Orega will take additional space on the mezzanine level of the building, which will provide 113 workstations, ranging from a two-person office to an open-plan space which could accommodate 58 people.
Completion on the second phase is due at the end of September.
Orega said that new tenant Applause IT had already signed up for eight workstations and would relocate from its existing Moseley Gate offices on the outskirts of the city.
Caron Salter-Hill, Orega’s sales and business centre manager in Birmingham, said: "Applause IT secured the space ‘off-plan’ which is quite unusual for serviced offices and underlines the appeal of Colmore Plaza business centre to the professional community.
"It’s a great start for our second phase, especially as we also have serious interest in a further significant amount of space."
