Graduates make JLR history
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has taken on 336 graduates in its 2011 intake. The Warwickshire manufacturer said it was the largest batch of new recruits in its history.
The graduates have all been accepted onto a two-year programme which begins this week.
JLR said it received more than 8,500 applications for the scheme.
Jaguar Land Rover's HR director, Des Thurlby, said: "This marks an important day both for the graduates who are embarking on their careers with us and for our business as we enter a phase of intense investment in our future - investment in products, people and infrastructure.
"This is an incredibly exciting time for Jaguar Land Rover and these new recruits have a critical role to play in shaping our business and delivering our future success."
Graduate placements included engineering, buying and marketing staff.
JLR has taken on more than 700 graduates in the last four years.
