DCS Europe unveils jobs boost

Share | |

Health and beauty product distributor DCS Europe said it will create jobs after investing £500,000 into new facilities at its Stratford-upon-Avon base.

Denys Shortt, owner of DCS Europe and chair of the Coventry and Warwickshire LEP, said the company had invested into its four main areas of business: manufacturing; export; high street discount and repacking.

He said sales had increased by more than £40m across these divisions over the past three years.

Shortt added that the investment would create new jobs and growth within all areas of the business.

The opening of the new facilities was made by Nadhim Zahawi, MP for Stratford-upon-Avon.

Shortt said: "This government is looking for new jobs and growth and we are leading by example. We use a simple phrase; 'follow the money' – which means focus on what’s growing.

"DCS is an exciting and vibrant company and such investments create a real buzz with our employees, our suppliers and our customers – it’s good for business."

Zahawi added: "Making things and selling them to the world is what made our country great and we will make it great again. We need more entrepreneurs like Denys Shortt and a business environment and a workforce that allows enterprise to flourish."

DCS Europe currently employs 250 members of staff.
