Council land to dominate auction lots
Sandwell Council has placed land and property with a price tag of more than £350,000 up for auction.
The eight sites are part of a total 139 being brought under the hammer at a sale held by Birmingham-based auctioneer CP Bigwood.
Land at Richmond Street South and Great Bridge Street in West Bromwich, extending to 0.57 acres, has a guide price of £140,000-£150,000.
A fire-damaged restaurant at 39/40 Union Street, Wednesbury, is being marketed as a development opportunity and has a guide price of £70,000.
Land at the corner of John Street and Flash Road, Oldbury, has a guide price of £50,000-£60,000 while a site on Dudley Road, Rowley Regis has a guide price of £48,000-£53,000. Both could be suitable for residential development, said CP Bigwood.
Several Black Country pubs which are no longer in operation are also up for auction.
A former police station on Birmingham Road, Wolverhampton, has a guide price of £375,000. It still includes the reception/custody area, interview rooms, custody cells, plus general facilities.
The auction will take place on 22 September at Aston Villa Football Club.
