BES expands Birmingham site
Gas and plumbing specialist BES has doubled the size of its Birmingham site by taking a new warehouse.
The warehouse, located at unit 12 of the Junction Six Industrial Park, comprises 77,317 sq ft. It will replace BES' existing facilities in units three and four.
The deal was secured by property agents Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Cushman & Wakefield on behalf of the M&G Property Portfolio and manager PRUPIM.
BES was founded more than 30 years ago and supplies a range of plumbing, gas, central heating and air conditioning components. The new warehouse will contain more than 15,000 different products.
Alex Hanna, associate director in LSH’s Birmingham-based industrial and logistics agency team, said: "This is a very significant deal for Birmingham. It will enable BES to operate from a single, much larger site to accommodate their growing requirements."
"This deal is one of the largest lettings of an existing warehouse in Birmingham this year."
