Warburton kicks off care venture
Former footballer Ray Warburton has opened an at-home care company in Northampton.
Warburton, who played for teams including Rotherham United, York City, Rushden and Diamonds and Northampton Town, has founded Home Instead Senior Care.
He has launched his new business venture at Moulton Park Northampton, providing at-home care for elderly Northampton residents.
Warburton said: "I was lucky enough to have a great career in football and that will always be an important part of my life. However, being made redundant really made me evaluate what was important to me and what I wanted to achieve. It was then that I decided it was time to start my own business."
Home Instead offers services including meal preparation, housekeeping, post-discharge care, medication reminders, shopping and errands.
Warburton added: "Having spoken to many existing Home Instead owners and hearing such positive things about the business, I was really keen to get involved. I owe a lot to those that made me feel so welcome when I transferred to the area 17 years ago. I hope that by providing high-quality at home care for elderly locals; I will be able to give something back to my community."
