Three Nottingham firms have been appointed to design a scheme for the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.

Through the project, Grade II-listed Dunham House will be refurbished and new offices adjacent to the house will be constructed.

Maber has been appointed as the architect on the scheme, with mechanical and electrical consultants Edmond Shipway designing the mechanical and electrical (M&E) services.

Price & Myers will work as the structural engineer on the scheme.

The project will involve the demolition of a 1960s office extension and public toilets at the front of the site to make way for the construction of a new three-storey office building.

Dunham House will be converted to create six apartments, split over two floors.

Daman Ranby, director and head of M&E at Edmond Shipway, said: "We are very pleased to be working with this new client to help design a new low energy headquarters, which we anticipate will achieve a BREEAM rating of Excellent."
