Monarch charges across the Channel
Monarch Education Furniture, based in Nottingham, has won a contract to provide its products to schools in France.
The company has signed a deal with French IT distributor Opticmedia to supply its computer storage and charging unit to schools.
Opticmedia will sell LapCabby, which enables organisations to transport, store and charge their laptop computers across the country.
LapCabby is already supplied throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Since being launched in 2003, more than 11,000 LapCabbys have been sold to schools in the UK.
Andy Harrhy, managing director at Monarch Education Furniture, said: "We are extremely excited to be working with Euro Media who are leaders in their field with strong links to schools throughout France.
"Opticmedia first approached us back in January at the BETT education show where we were launching the LapCabby Up-Link."
LapCabby houses between ten and 32 laptops or netbooks in each unit.
