Solec Solutions powers up in Rugby

A start-up business specialising in the supply of photovoltaic (PV) systems has launched in Rugby.

Solec Solutions was established by Martin and Heather Storey and Michelle Hicks. The company designs, supplies and installs energy-saving PV systems.

Operations director Martin Storey said the company was looking to tap into commercial contracts as well as the domestic market.

He added that Solec Solutions, which is based in Park Road, was already looking to expand its staff base of five.

Storey said: "We want to show people the benefits of PV systems – particularly as we are seeing energy costs rising so often. This is a great way for people to save money on their energy bills and also to help the environment."

Solec Solutions received start-up assistance from the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce to help it launch.

Emma Rynberk, of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: "Start-up companies are key to the region’s economic growth and Solec is making the most of green technologies, which is an area that Rugby and the wider region is becoming synonymous with."
