Browne Jacobson leads Focal deal
The Nottingham office of law firm Browne Jacobson has advised acoustic speaker manufacturer Focal on its merger with Naim Audio.
Browne Jacobson's corporate team led the deal which has produced a £48m-turnover company based in Wiltshire.
The new company will be re-named Focal & Co and will employ 325 people across its sites in Saint-Etienne, France and Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Focal, which claims to be the biggest loudspeaker manufacturer in France, was established in 1980 by audio engineer Jacques Mahul.
Naim Audio manufactures high-fidelity audio electronics including CD players, hard disk players, tuners and amplifiers.

Law firm Farrer & Co and Smith & Williamson Corporate Finance advised Naim Audio.
