BCS brands merge

Nottingham-based BCS PR, BCS Creative and BCS Digital have merged to create a marketing and communications consultancy.

The agency, called bcsAgency, has been established just over a year after Freeserve founder Rob Wilmot took a stake in the BCS brand and became a director.

Boyden Carmichael-Smith Associates (BCS) was established in 1995 by Alan Boyden and Murray Carmichael-Smith as a management buyout from Grey Midlands.

It later rebranded asBCS Creative and launched BCS PR in 2002. In 2010 Wilmot joined the company and added BCS Digital to the group of companies.

Wilmot said: "Over the last 16 years the separate BCS businesses have delivered highly acclaimed creative campaigns. However, online and digital is becoming ever more pervasive and we are witnessing a paradigm shift in the way people engage with each other and with brands.

"This merger means that we will provide an even greater level of customer service for clients who will be able to access the range of insights and skills that can only be offered by a truly integrated marketing communications agency."
