Toys 'R' Us opening to bring in 50 jobs
Retailer Toys 'R' Us is set to open a 20,000 sq ft store in Birmingham next month, creating 50 jobs.
The company will open a store in St Andrews Shopping Park, just to the east of the city centre.
Toys 'R' Us, which sells toys, bikes, video games and baby products, is set to open on 8 September.
The company operates more than three million sq ft of retailing space in the UK, including a 667,000 sq ft warehouse in the Midlands. There are 78 Toys 'R' Us stores in the UK.
Mike Coogan, Toys ‘R’ Us' marketing director, said: "This is a multi-million pound investment for us, its great to be coming back into the heart of Birmingham and we are looking forward to giving new and old customers a one-stop shop for everything for the family. We are delighted to be opening our latest and most modern of all our stores in Birmingham."
