Morgan Sindall wins £3bn framework place
Two divisions of Warwickshire-based Morgan Sindall Group have been appointed to the Constructing West Midlands framework in a £3bn deal.
Construction division Morgan Sindall and Staffordshire-based affordable housing division Lovell were handed a place on the framework by Birmingham City Council.
The two divisions will work on projects secured through the framework under the name Community Solutions West Midlands.
Along with three other contractors, Community Solutions West Midlands has been selected on the framework lot which covers works costing over £500,000.
The four-year deal, which has the potential to be extended to eight years, has an estimated value of £3bn. It is available to all public sector bodies within the West Midlands region.
Morgan Sindall recently secured positions on schemes including a £750m Network Rail framework, the £1bn iESE framework, the £1.2bn framework programme of upgrades and improvements for Gatwick Airport and the £500m Smarte East Alliance construction framework.
Paul Smith, group chief executive, said: "This is a major framework and we are delighted that two of the Group's divisions have secured positions on it. Morgan Sindall and Lovell working together as Community Solutions West Midlands is a further example of the complementary nature of our divisions' capabilities and the benefit this brings to our group."
