Northamptonshire-based Novacroft has been awarded a contract to manage several of Transport for London's Oystercard schemes.

Novacroft, which designs card-ticketing solutions, will take control of the underground tickets for the department's 5 – 10, 11 – 15, Under 16, 16+ and 18+ concessionary passes.

The company has secured the contract on a three-year basis with a possible two-year extension. It has managed Transport for London's Oyster photocard scheme since 2001.

Debra Charles, Novacroft’s managing director, said: "To win this contract is a testament to Novacroft's quality of service delivery and to the efforts of the team.

"Novacroft’s service to Transport for London meets the challenge of combining quality, innovation and capacity for improvement with value for money. Novacroft looks forward to continuing to work with Transport for London."
