Property partner joins Spearing Waite
Leicester law firm Spearing Waite has added Michael Lawrence to its property litigation team. Lawrence joins as partner from Birmingham-based solicitors Martineau.
He previously worked in the Leicester offices of Gateley Wareing and Freeth Cartwright.
Spearing Waite said Lawrence would be working with the firm’s commercial property department whose clients include retailers Dunelm and The White Company.
Lawrence said: "Property disputes work can be as much about early stage troubleshooting and dispute avoidance as it is about litigation.
"This is particularly the case in the current climate where many commercial landlords for example are still dealing with the effects of tenant insolvency, and professional negligence claims arising out of property transactions are on the rise."
