Cuttlestones makes Wolverhampton move
Auctioneer Cuttlestones, based in Staffordshire, is set to expand by opening an office in Wolverhampton.
It will be the first auction house to open in the city for more than ten years.
Cuttlestones, which is based in Penkridge, Stafford, will move into Wolverhampton's former auction rooms on Clarence Street.
Ben Gamble, head auctioneer and managing director of Cuttlestones, described the move as "a natural step" after experiencing growth in revenue over the past four years.
He said: “The last four years have been a real ride – we've expanded massively and taken what was a sale room with a reputation for being focused on agricultural and general household goods to a respected fine art and antiques auction house that’s attracting vendors and bidders on a global scale.
"The chance to take on the Wolverhampton auction room presents the perfect opportunity for us to expand further into the West Midlands and extend our calendar of sales."
