WLEP launches development forum
A 'business development forum' has been established by Worcestershire's local enterprise partnership (WLEP).
The forum will consult with and advise businesses across the county on their expansion or relocation plans. It will also help those experiencing delays in growth through the planning and consultation process.
It will be headed by WLEP business board chairman Tony Hyde.
Hyde said: "We want to hear of all serious growth proposals, both large and more modest, but particularly where they are frustrated by planning, financial, land release, staffing, training or other issues.
"One of the proactive steps the WLEP can take is to work with businesses, developers or funders to explore how we can best assist them in overcoming hurdles."
The organisation said it is also reviewing the draft plans and policies recently published in its South Worcestershire Development Plan to ensure that sites are made available for future business growth.
WLEP chairman Peter Pawsey added: "We need to demonstrate that we are seriously 'open for business' by opening the blinds to our greatest assets and making potential businesses really welcome."
