Pandora recovers after four-day closure
A Birmingham jewellery store left damaged by last week's riots has reopened.
The Pandora Store on the city's High Street sustained substantial damage and closed for four days.
In addition to trading disruption and rebuilding costs, the business said it lost thousands of pounds as stock was stolen from displays windows.
Recently installed security shutters prevented further damage and thefts, the company confirmed in a statement.
Pandora's sister store in Bullring was also affected by shortened trading hours, enforced as centre management made their own security preparations.
Andrew Higgs, chief executive of TH Baker, owner of the Birmingham Pandora Stores, said: "It’s good to be back in business after this enforced absence. We hope that our return contributes to the fight back of the city centre."
