Aspiren in joint procurement venture
Aspiren, based in Nottingham, has teamed up with the region's chamber of commerce to help companies bidding for public sector funding and contracts.
Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce said the new service would help businesses demonstrate their corporate social responsibility when competing for projects within the public sector.
Chamber member Aspiren, a social enterprise company, will use its online tool Local Impact Measurement (LIMtool) to help businesses assess their wider impact on the local economy.
The chamber will offer the LIMtool to businesses that use its tender alert service.
Graham Gardiner of Aspiren said: "We are delighted that the LIMtool has been recognised by the chamber. LIMtool is easy to use, doesn’t take long to do and is affordable for businesses of all sizes.
"It’s about time that businesses spoke up about how much they contribute to local economies and communities. LIMtool provides hard evidence of that."
