Meridian moves to Warwickshire

Private client law firm Meridian Private Client has relocated to Warwickshire as part of its long-term expansion plans.

Drummond Kerr, partner at the firm, told Insider the company moved from Solihull to the countryside to gain additional space and avoid the "concrete jungle" of Birmingham.

Meridian had been based in Solihull for the last five years and moved to premises on the Packington Estate in Warwickshire.

The firm said it hopes to double its workforce from eight to 16 over the next few years.

Kerr said the move allowed the firm to remain close to Birmingham's transport links without having to relocate to a city centre.

"The new office is ideal", he said. "It's the rural setting we wanted to work from - we wanted to avoid the concrete jungle of Birmingham."

Partner Philip Harrison added: "The new office will also be more convenient for clients as it is closer to Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International rail station as well as being situated close to the major motorways and A-roads in the area. There is plenty of parking available and I believe the new premises provides the right setting for our business going forward."
