Bullivant bought by French rival
Burton-on-Trent-headquartered piling and foundation business Roger Bullivant has been sold to the French parent company of rival Bachy Soletanche (Bachy).
Bullivant was established in 1971 by chairman and founder Roger Bullivant. It has nine regional centres and about 800 members of staff.
The deal involved the sale of the Roger Bullivant foundation and piling business to construction group Soletanche Bachy Entreprise SAS for an undisclosed sum.
It is understood that Bachy and Bullivant will operate as separate trading subsidiaries of the group in the UK and will not be merged.
Bullivant has seven regional bases in Yorkshire, Preston, Alloa, East Boldon (Tyne and Wear), Dartford, Westbury (Wiltshire) and Port Talbot.
Bullivant's construction projects includes for clients such as Tesco, Vodafone and Pizza Express.
