Greggs makes it five in Derby
Bakery Greggs will open its fifth outlet in Derby after snapping up a store in the Westfield shopping centre.
East Midlands property consultant FHP has secured the letting of 48 St Peters Street to Greggs on behalf of investment company SANLAM.
Greggs has taken a ten-year lease subject to a tenant-only break after five years. The headline rent stands at £50,000 per year. The unit comprises about 966 sq ft of ground floor sales plus ancillary accommodation on the upper floors.
Alan Pearson, associate partner at FHP, said: "The unit had been vacant for some time due to the relocation of La Senza into Westfield Derby and the economic climate and we are delighted to have secured tenants of Greggs' quality in this prominent retail unit close to the entrance into Westfield Derby."
This will be Greggs' fifth outlet in the city centre and "fills in the gap" between their Corn Market, Westfield and East Street stores.
