T-Mac to grow with FAW Electronics

Chesterfield-based T-Mac Technologies has snapped up design, engineering and manufacturing company FAW Electronics.

T-Mac, which specialises in supplying energy management technology, said the acquisition of the Derbyshire company was part of its strategy to achieve 40 per cent growth over the next year.

FAW Electronics, which has been trading for over seven years, will add design engineering and manufacturing capabilities to the T-Mac portfolio, T-Mac said.

Lisa Gingell, director of T-mac Technologies, said: "We have worked with FAW Electronics since our launch to produce and deliver technical hardware products for our ever expanding client base, so this acquisition was the next logical step.

"By acquiring FAW Electronics we have reduced the final link in our production chain. Now our cutting-edge products, which we provide for businesses across the UK and worldwide, will be made from beginning to end by T-Mac."

The acquisition has boosted the T-Mac workforce to 32.

Alan Wilkinson, managing director at FAW Electronics, said: "Having worked on the design and architecture of many t-mac products we are pleased to be able to merge the processes under one established brand as it makes business sense for both T-Mac's customers and our own."
