Liz Hobbs Group takes to Hickstead stage

Live event producer Liz Hobbs Group has secured a five-year contract with equestrian venue Hickstead.

Newark-based Liz Hobbs Group will help stage a series of music and live events at the Sussex showground.

Liz Doogan-Hobbs, chief executive of Liz Hobbs Group, said: "Hickstead has an enviable reputation as the home of British showjumping, so we are thrilled that our teams will working together. It’s a unique location with fantastic open-air surroundings and we are already developing some innovative and exciting entertainment concepts, which we hope to launch in 2012.

"We enjoy working with some amazing sporting venues across the UK and help to empower them, to not only grow their sport through boosting crowd figures, but by increasing revenue to invest back into the sport itself."

More than 100,000 spectators visit Hickstead each year. The course was the first permanent showground for equestrian sport in the country.
