Finance goes full-time at Tracsis

Software provider Tracsis, which operates from a base in Derby, has hired a new full-time finance director.

Max Cawthra is set to take over from Darren Bamforth on 1 August 2011. Bamforth currently holds the role in a part-time capacity.

Tracsis hailed Bamforth's role as "pivotal in the company's growth, flotation on AIM, and four subsequent acquisitions". Bamforth worked part-time as he also runs his own accountancy practice.

Cawthra, aged 33, joined Tracsis in September 2010 as financial controller and previously spent seven years at Persimmon. He is a chartered accountant and trained with Ernst & Young in Leeds.

He was involved in Tracsis' acquisition of MPEC Technology, which he is now a director of, and played a role in the share placing of £2m that took place in June 2011, the company said.

John McArthur, chief executive officer, said: "This is a milestone for the business and a natural evolution for our board as Tracsis continues to grow."
