Greenhalgh to merge with HSKS
Accountant and business adviser Greenhalgh, based in Nottingham, has announced plans to merge with Derby firm HSKS Chartered Accountants.
The new firm will employ about 75 people and will have offices in Nottingham, Derby, Burton-upon-Trent and Uttoxeter.
In the short-term the two firms will continue to trade under their respective names, with a new brand identity expected to be unveiled later in the year.
Nigel Shaw, chief executive of Greenhalgh, said: "It has long been an ambition of ours to have a presence in Derby to serve our already considerable client base in the area. The merger will also provide a platform for us to build on our position as one of the market leaders in the Midlands delivering financial and business advice."
Legal advice on the merger was provided by Nelsons and Keelys.
Greenhalgh was founded 40 years ago and has grown into a three office, five director firm. HSKS was formed with the merger of Harrison & Sedgwick and Kultaran Singh & Co in 1997.
