Kennet to grow after turnover boost

Coleshill-based Kennet Equipment Leasing has announced plans to increase its workforce after almost doubling its turnover.

The company, which offers equipment-leasing deals to businesses, is set to create a number of senior account manager and sales support roles over the coming months.

Kennet currently employs 40 members of staff. Its latest half-yearly report to June 2011 shows a 44 per cent rise in growth compared with the same period last year.

Chairman Steven Swift said: "I am delighted with the company’s performance, which is a sign that businesses are, despite the economic downturn, realising that in order to ride out the recession, they will have to invest and consider the bigger picture.

"Our success has been down to the continued efforts of the sales force to grow existing business, target new areas and having the ability to source funding from £1,000 to half a million for many business types. This has opened the door to more market segments and a greater number of customers."
