Potter Clarkson on the move in Nottingham

Share | |

Law firm Potter Clarkson has signed a deal to move into 45,000 sq ft of office space in the Belgrave Centre, Nottingham.

The offices, off Talbot Street, are owned by Nottingham Trent University. Geo Hallam & Sons acted for potter Clarkson while the Nottingham office of Jones Lang LaSalle acted for the university on the deal.

Matthew Smith, partner at Jones Lang LaSalle, told Insider the deal shows Nottingham's office market is "on the move".

He said: "This is the latest in a series of major office deals we have brokered. They highlight demand for good quality city centre space from occupiers who are reacting early to lease expiries and securing competitive terms.

"Nottingham office Q1 and Q2 take up rates are higher than many other regional centres in the UK; this investment in the city demonstrates improved occupier confidence."

Potter Clarkson turns over about £20m a year and employs 140 people in Nottingham.

Browne Jacobson and Freeth Cartwright co-ordinated legal proceedings for Potter Clarkson on the deal.
